Trauma-Informed Care From Someone Who's Been There
Healing from trauma takes a therapist who understands it — not just clinically, but from lived experience. Jason Ray spent 24 years as a police officer before becoming a therapist, giving him a grounded, practical perspective on trauma, PTSD, and the weight of difficult experiences.
In his own words: My experience includes 24 years as a police officer, which has given me insight into both trauma and PTSD. I worked in community mental health, where I supervised all school mental health therapists in Clark County. I have completed internships in private practice and working with court-ordered clients. I am trained in EMDR and CPT, as well as other modalities. I believe in working with the client to develop a treatment plan together — this allows us to work toward goals the client and I have set together.
Jason's Approach:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma processing and PTSD
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for reframing the impact of traumatic experiences
Collaborative treatment planning — goals are set together, not handed down
Trauma-informed care tailored to your unique history and needs
Jason works with individual adults who are ready to move forward. Whether you're processing a specific traumatic event, managing the long-term effects of PTSD, or simply looking for a therapist who will meet you where you are, Jason creates a space where honesty and progress go hand in hand.
