Christy Ray, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC: Lexington
Christy Ray is a dedicated and compassionate board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with more than 20 years of diverse nursing experience in emergency care, critical care, and psychiatry. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Northern Kentucky University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. Throughout her career, Christy has remained committed to serving individuals from diverse backgrounds, with a special focus on supporting underserved and vulnerable populations.
Christy is passionate about increasing mental health awareness and reducing the stigma often associated with mental illness. She provides evidence-based, patient-centered medication management for a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), autism, intellectual disabilities, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and related concerns. She is deep rooted in her faith, and her approach is grounded in compassion, respect, and inclusivity, helping patients feel supported as they work toward improved mental health and overall well-being.
In addition to her clinical work, Christy stays engaged in community outreach initiatives and professional organizations to remain informed about current advancements in psychiatric and mental health care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family. She has been married for 20 years and is the proud mother of two children and grandmother of one grandchild. Christy also enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and traveling.
