Hello! I’m Michelle, a warm and dedicated Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over 10 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families on their journey towards healing and growth. I hold a Master of Education and an Educational Specialist Degree in School Counseling from James Madison University. In addition, I am also a certified k-12 School Counselor and am a Nationally Certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist.
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to connect with diverse families. As a fluent bilingual English/Spanish speaker I am proud to offer a welcoming and inclusive space where I enjoy working with children as young as three all the way through young adulthood and their families/caregivers who love them. Throughout my career I have worked and provided services in a wide variety of settings including schools, homes, offices, and foster care. My approach is simple, I always focus on meeting each client and family where they are, establish trust and boundaries, and build towards the desired outcomes together.
