Matthew Kristopher, LPCA: Lexington

Matthew Kristopher, LPCA, therapist for Resolutions Therapy Practice, KY.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) with a diverse academic and professional background. I earned a bachelor's degree in Architecture from University of Kentucky and a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.

I believe that being human means experiencing both strengths and struggles. Life can be challenging, and no one is meant to move through those seasons alone. My own experiences with depression and anxiety shaped my passion for walking alongside others as they work through life's difficulties in a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment.

My approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration. I strive to understand each person's unique story and help clients gain insight, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change. I'm also comfortable discussing faith, spirituality, religion, philosophy, and meaning in relation to your values.

I work with clients experiencing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma and PTSD, identity exploration, relationship challenges, mood disorders, grief and loss, life transitions, existential questions, and personal growth. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and faith-based techniques, and my goal is to help you feel heard, respected, and empowered to create lasting, positive change.
